What Should You Put on a Voiceover Website?

As a voice actor, do you really need a website?

Eventually, yes.

Social Media platforms come and go, so if anything happens to them, it won’t matter if you have a homebase. That homebase is your website. It’s your digital storefront for your voiceover services.

Setting up a website is not something you need to do immediately. Get some experience under your belt, including professional demos.

Essentials and Nice-to-Haves

When you’re ready, the essential things your website needs to have are your:

  • Demos

  • Bio (typically as an “About” page)

  • Contact information (social media, email and phone)

If you’ve been doing some VO work, you may also want to include a short list of clients and a few testimonials. A logo is optional.

A blog is also optional. If you include a blog, that will help raise your SEO, which will help you to be found in searches. Using keywords throughout the website that describe you, your voice, and the types of VO you do are all a part of building your SEO. If you use online casting sites, always include your website in the profile you created on their platform. Casting sites are always listed at the top of of voiceover searches, So this will really help you to be found as well.
